He is a senior academician, researcher, and administrator with over three decades of teaching and research experience in Electronics and Communication Engineering. He holds a Ph.D. in ECE from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada (2018), with research carried out at Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. His doctoral work focused on nonlinear time–frequency analysis, dimensionality reduction, and optimized artificial neural networks for the detection of cardiac arrhythmias. He earned his M.E. from NIT Rourkela and A.M.I.E. from the Institution of Engineers (India).
Dr. Dash has served in key leadership roles including Dean (R&D) and Professor & Head of ECE, and has taught extensively at undergraduate and postgraduate levels across reputed institutions in Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. His teaching portfolio includes Signals and Systems, Digital and Adaptive Signal Processing, Statistical Signal Processing, Soft Computing, and advanced M.Tech. courses.
His research interests span Digital and Biomedical Signal Processing, Machine Learning, Generative Deep Learning, Large Language Models, Data Science, Pattern Recognition, Adaptive and Statistical Signal Processing, Time–Frequency Analysis, and Blockchain Technology. Dr. Dash is actively involved in interdisciplinary research, mentoring scholars, curriculum development, and fostering innovation-driven academic ecosystems.

He has completed M.Tech in Computer science & Information Security from KIIT University , Bhubaneswar, MBA (HR and Marketing) from College of IT and Management education, Bhubaneswar and B.Tech in IT from Raajdhani Engineering College, Bhubaneswar. He plays an instrumental role as SPOC of the SWAYAM-NPTEL local Chapter and COURSERA.
